Hello everyone, i was searching online for useful web sites that will help us guidance to a efficient cover letter. I came across these three web sites that i found very useful.
http://jobsearch.about.com/od/coverlettersamples/a/coverformat.htm
http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/549/01/
http://www.myfuture.com/careers/articles-advice/creating-your-cover-letter?
The first web site i found useful because it mentions all the basic information what needs to be included for a cover letter. Most importantly it shows you the format we need to follow and what information we should provide in the body, first, middle and final paragraph.
The second web site gives you brief answers and lists of what you should include in a cover letter
and what to do before sending it out. It covers really the basics, but what caught the most attention about this web site was the options with job search help, job search letters and job search writing.
The final web site i would like to refer as the "main event" because i saved the best for the last. This web site covers all questions you need to know for a well organized cover letter. It first guides us to think about ourselves and our experiences. How did we hear about the opportunity? What do we know about the organization we are writing to? Whom we are writing to? Then it gives us examples of real life cover letters and it analyzes words we should include in our cover letter. I personally used this cover letter web site to help me create my customized cover letter which i will consider sending in to my future employe.
I agree with you. The third website gives great insight about writing a great cover letter.
